Tending to Life
I'm Jo.
In recent years, as the human world went mad and my human body aged, my soul just kept saying, less... less... no, even less, until I actually listened. Until I stripped it all back to find what makes a difference to my heart and my life.
What's left is this: life matters; life is a treasure, and tending to it is a sacred act.
So I've started rebuilding around that, and the heart of it is peace - real peace in my own body, my own inner world. True wellbeing. Here, I write about what it looks like to tend to life with love, on a difficult planet, in my third act. That can look like:
My home and garden as a small sanctuary: for my family, for the wild things that find their way here
Mornings with my cat and coffee before anyone else surfaces
A walk across the stream and through the woods
A nap
Sitting with the grief and the beauty and the ordinary things. Tending to a planet I believe in protecting
The quiet, small moments that feel like freedom.
The life I'm building looks like peace for everyone in it, human and more than human. Real peace: rest, resources, room to breathe, freedom from harm, room to be alive. And I have this secret dream: if enough of us build our little safe places, they'll link up and change the world. So I'm here. Paying attention. Learning to live this way because it matters.
If that sounds like your kind of thing too, you're welcome here.
